Your tour price covers 8 nights of lodging in a downtown Oaxaca boutique hotel, daily breakfast, full lunches or dinners at top Oaxacan restaurants, airport transfers, all ground transportation within Oaxaca, entrance fees for scheduled excursions/museums, and bilingual (English-speaking) local guides.

Airfare to/from Oaxaca, airport taxes, alcoholic beverages (outside of designated tastings), tips/gratuities, personal expenses, and meals not listed on the official itinerary are not included.

Our Day of the Dead tour runs annually from October 26th to November 3rd (9 days / 8 nights). To keep the experience intimate and immersive, group sizes are strictly limited to a maximum of 10 participants.

While our itinerary is packed with curated experiences (cooking classes, artisan visits, comparsas, and cemetery visits), you will have built-in free time—such as on the afternoon of October 31st—to visit local art galleries, shop, or relax in the Zócalo.

The tour involves a moderate amount of walking, including walking tours along cobblestone streets in Oaxaca City, exploring outdoor archaeological sites like Monte Albán and Mitla, navigating busy local markets, and visiting cemeteries at night. Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended!

Our featured dining spots include some of the finest restaurants in Mexico (such as Casa Oaxaca, Los Danzantes, and El Origen). If you have specific food allergies or dietary requirements (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free), please inform us upon booking so we can coordinate with our partner kitchens.

While we strive to keep every event exactly as planned, specific daily schedules, excursions, and restaurant visits are subject to change based on local availability or factors beyond our control. Any necessary substitutions will always meet the same high standards of quality.
