Monica Malanco (Co-founder)

Born and raised in Mexico City, moved to Austin Texas in 2006. She has always been an avid adventure enthusiast, interested in travel and getting to know other cultures, and of course she has always been very close to her Mexican roots. Out of all the cities in Mexico, Oaxaca has a very special place in her heart. She had the opportunity to visit several times and got to know the flavor and magic of Oaxaca. She fell in love with the architecture, people and beauty of this city so much that, together with her husband, they chose to have their wedding in Oaxaca. Has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from the ITESM Tecnologico de Monterrey. Speaks Spanish, English and some French and is a Certified Mexico Specialist. She has a 5 year experience working as counselor in a Mexican summer camp, Pipiol. She first became interested in the travel industry while working at American Express and now with Aeromexico in Austin as Market Manager, she has the opportunity to promote the beauty of her country and all the magnificent destinations. Prior to joining Aeromexico, Monica worked in Austin as a volunteer in the Mexican Consulate and for Sony Corporation, 3M Company and American Express Company in Mexico City. Contact Monica

Carlos Hernandez Topete (Co-founder)

Native from Oaxaca Carlos moved to Mexico city where he gained an extended experience in logistics and international trade working for five years at 3M Mexico where he also was certified as Six Sigma Green Belt, and possesses an MBA from Boston University with concentration in Marketing. Omar Flores (Co-founder)

Born and raised in Mexico City and moved to Austin, Texas in 2005.
